|Synopsis: The painter Jesus Mari Lazkano was assigned to carry out a large-format work (around 17 meters by 8 meters) for some new facilities. It is a work that will be carried out for a year. To begin the project, the artist established his workshop on the Urdaibai estuary.
The process for making this mural serves as a starting point and the leitmotif of the documentary UTOPIA HANDIA (“The Great Utopia”). As we consider the process of creating the work, we integrate the different stages and the most typical artistic landmarks of Lazkano.
This work confronts the creative process of the artist with his work, his decisions, his doubts, his solutions.
In the end, each painting is a new project and the way to reach him, an adventure.
